Topics and Sections
The proposed topics focus on studies and reflections from which the aim emerges that, through the knowledge of the complexity of architectural, urban and environmental phenomena, the correct understanding and realisation of targeted interventions on the heritage can be achieved, assisted by sustainability criteria. The main objective is the in-depth study of themes related to the documentation, knowledge, restoration and reuse of architectural, urban and landscape heritage. The proposed topics are intended to stimulate interdisciplinary debate by involving scholars who, in a transversal manner and from different points of view, address the delicate issue of the preservation, reuse and regeneration of existing buildings.
The conference proposes different, interrelated themes to scholars, with the aim of highlighting specific topics of interest:
- Knowledge: methods and technologies for the documentation, survey, representation and valorization of tangible and intangible heritage.
- Documentation: methods, themes, experiences and approaches aimed at the historical study and public and participatory sharing of knowledge and design.
- Restoration: theories, guidelines, methodological directions and case studies for the conservation of historical-architectural, archaeological and landscape heritage.
- Recovery: studies, projects, best practices for the recovery and redevelopment of buildings and the urban environment.
- Risk: analyses and projects for seismic, hydrogeological and anthropic risk mitigation of the built heritage and territory.
- Regeneration: intervention strategies on urban and environmental contexts aimed at reducing marginalization and resilience phenomena, enhancing the quality and attractiveness of territories.
- Sustainability: methodologies, strategies, protocols and examples of integrated and multidisciplinary projects aimed at protecting and safeguarding cultural and natural heritage.
